This review has been a long time coming. I may sound a little overexcited or juvenile or childish. I am not going to look at the logistics of it all (the time he took to generate the cash, the ways, the fact that he drove through all districts in Dubai to finally get to the airport) - currently, none of that is any of my concern. And yes, I know some people think it's corny - but Malayalis in Dubai can really be that corny. That Onam celebration montage was quite accurate! Why the Roswell, New Mexico Reboot is My New Favorite Show

When the Roswell adaptation was announced in 2018, many lamented that yet another remake was landing on their screens. Roswell, New Mexico , is adapted from the original Roswell High books written by Melinda Metz where Liz was Liz Ortecho of Mexican descent and not Liz Parker, as in the 1999 show that catapulted actors like Shiri Appleby and Katherine Heigl to stardom. Roswell, NM is a very different show that explores the story differently while making leaps in the area of representation. The 2019 series sees Liz Ortecho as a young biomedical scientist, the daughter of Mexican immigrants returning to Roswell, NM after 10 years, after the funding for her research has been slashed. The premiere episode shows her working at Crashdown Cafe, the alien-themed eatery owned by her father Arturo. A Summer in Aleppey

Sometimes a song just takes you back, way back. Especially when the song is from a movie you recently realized was shot in a place you used to visit every summer as a child. The song’s really old, as old as my sister who can finally get a license this year. She’s quite excited, I’m apprehensive. Not because of her. Because of the concept of driving in itself. It terrifies me, having to control the movement of an entity so much bigger and heavier than me. It’s a good thing I didn’t aspire to be a pilot I think sometimes. This time though, the song reminded me of a particular summer, eleven years ago. This place that the movie was shot in, I had a love-hate relationship with it.
