Read my story in Mudun: An Anthology

What makes a city?

What defines it?

Who are its people?

In the Middle East, the answer is contentious. I grew up in Dubai, a city I called my home, but never could claim it confidently. When Barjeel Art Foundation invited stories centered on Arab cities, I took a chance on myself.

The anthology, published in October 2024 in print format by Kaph Books (an independent publisher based in Lebanon and Dubai), contains stories in English and Arabic. I am proud to say, one of the stories is mine.
